SNT Records History

SNT Records began in 1899 as an offshoot branch of the Sun and Thunder Exploration Company Limited. It was originally called the Sun and Thunder Graphophone & High Voltage Company, focusing on field recordings, early blues, folk, jazz, and experimental electrical music. Over the decades of its existence, SNT Records has worked with artists as varied as the space jazz pioneers Lenny and the Stargazers, and many influential bands in the genres of rock, folk, country, noise, and the blues.

“Electrical Music For Young Lovers”

SNT Records today is the modern record label division of Sun and Thunder.

We are the home for Yellow Dove (and his warzone label, Droog Rekords), Darkstar, Sparkydog & Friends, Lenny & The Stargazers, and the vast Sun and Thunder Audio Recordings Archive.

We have a slate of new artists in development, and are always scouting the many worlds for great music.
